[Voice] Trust?
[This whole "Christmas" thing has certainly left Jay with something to think about. Apparently, he's made the mistake of trusting someone and paid dearly for it. Well, he's paid them back, but that's beside the point. And thus, he'd like to get people's opinions to help him analyze a certain concept.]
I'd like to discuss something with everyone. How can you tell that you can truly trust someone? How do you know they won't abandon you?

Th-Thyra?
Well, these particular people haven't really stuck with me through hard times. My recent experience has left me with something to think about at the very least.

Oh, yeah, while I'm thinking of it, I should mention that I'm trying to avoid Fenimore learning about her death for a while, since it's hard enough for her to deal with being an experiment to start with and I'd like to handle the issues separately. So if you think it would be IC for Jay to not tell her, try to avoid it. But if you don't think it would be IC for him to not tell her, then either I can find a work-around (like getting one of her housemates to interfere there somehow) or, if I can't, I can deal with it, because dealing with the unexpected from IC interactions is all a part of RP. Thanks for reading my excessively long spiel!][voice] 1/2

Yes...Thyra was on the Legacy. She's quite fine. In fact, if she were any more fine, she may cause a cataclysm.
[voice]
Thank you, um.... [She'd recognize Jay by sight, but he hasn't talked around her much in the game, so she'd take a while to figure out why his voice sounded familiar.]
[voice]
[Jay lets out a chuckle himself. He had expected Fenimore to be insulted, but oh well. It's not like insulting her was his intent anyway.]
[He pauses, as it sounds like she's about to say something else.]
[voice]
There's a pause from her end, as she had intended for him to fill in his name and, since she didn't realize she was being unclear, she thought that it meant that he didn't intend to give his name. So instead, she'll return to the statement she skipped over.]
Ah, well, anyway, if they haven't stuck with you, then maybe they aren't people you can trust to not abandon you.... Though I guess it would depend on the situation.

...Wait, are they listening to this?
[Filtered]
But yes, there are specific people in mind, but I'm not interested in talking to them. They wouldn't listen anyway.
[Filtered]
That's not what I meant. There are plenty of ways people can show that they're trustworthy, so if you're wondering if you can trust certain people you're going to have to describe them. ...Or is that not what you meant?
[Filtered]
But since you're new here, I doubt you know any of these people better than I do, so describing them would be pointless.
[Filtered]
It's because I don't know them you'd have to describe them to me, and I'm not the only person you're asking. But if you say so.
