All right...now that I've somewhat settled into this situation, I need to analyze what I've learned so far.

I woke up in this place wearing white shirts. Strangely enough, I now have wings on my back. The wings still ache, but I'm told that the pain will pass after some time. Perhaps I should sleep until then.

Upon arriving in the village, I was given a guide that explains about the situation, and about this world in general. This place is called Luceti, and we were all brought here by the "Malnosso." At this point, no one seems to know who or what the Malnosso are. Considering that the Malnosso apparently brought us here to conduct experiments on us, I doubt they are human. But on the other hand, I have noticed that not all of the subjects in Luceti are human either.

The village seems to be a perfect paradise. There is no concept of money, so everything is provided for us free of charge. Despite having my normal clothes taken, I was surprised to see my exact clothes in the clothing shop. I also found my daggers in the weapon shop. I'm curious as to why they would allow us to have weapons here. However, no matter how luxurious, a cage is still a cage. So I can't say this makes me happy.

I have spoken with a few people since I've been here. I was surprised to see Senel, Shirley, and Stella here...Stella especially. I remember she had died in the Legacy, so she might have been brought here from a point before her death. It also makes me concerned for Senel...was he brought here from before Stella's death as well? I was also told that Walter is here, but I haven't seen him yet.

I also spoke with a few people I hadn't met before. Well, not very many have introduced themselves, however. I did meet a man named Alexei. He's been helpful, but I'm still wary about trusting strangers. He appears to be a noble of some kind, and one can never be too careful around nobles. Some of them abuse their authority, and even those with the best intentions can let the nobility go to their heads. So I'm especially wary around nobles or military people.

I also met a woman named Martel at the Welcome Center. It was dark and stormy that night, but she treated me with kindness. The Welcome Center was built to assist the newcomers, or "New Feathers" as they're called here. Once I get settled in, I may volunteer here, to provide information. I'd still like to collect more information on the Malnosso, and more importantly, search for a way home. It seems impossible right now, but I won't give up. Something is bound to happen sooner or later that may yield some clues. So in the meantime, I suppose I'll just have to live here and be prepared to defend against whatever "experiments" the Malnosso try to conduct on me...

Hmm...for the moment. Is there a problem?

So that's what this is about? Are you upset because you read my analysis? It was actually meant to be shared with everyone, so I've no reason to filter it. However, no one is being forced to read it, so you can hardly blame me when you're the one who chose to read it.

You can expect more of these entries in the future, so read them or don't read them. It's your decision.

And you're aware that the journal works as a communication device, rather than a book to note every mundane event of your day?

[Another grouch?]

I am aware of that, but I don't quite know how to utilize its functions. And my first day in Luceti can hardly be considered a "typical day."

I record relevant information, so once things get more typical around here, I can write new developments. But like I told the other person, whether you read it is your decision alone.

[Luceti has a lot of grouches, sadly.]

You can count yourself lucky you didn't arrive in the middle of an experiment. If that were the case, it would've been far less typical. Arrivals nowadays are milder than they used to be.

If you want to record information for yourself, you can try to teach yourself how to use the filter function. It's not fool-proof, but it'll do the trick.

Yuan.

Bear in mind that not even the guide holds all the answers. Information about Luceti can be found in other places, as long as you know where to look.

Well, Yuan...pleased to make your acquaintance.

I suspected as much. I may not know where to look yet, so I'll just look everywhere I can. I'm confident in my skills, as gathering information is my specialty.

Plus I haven't figured out how to filter it yet.

[identity profile] alliance-marine.livejournal.com 2009-10-23 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Then why are you writing all of that about Stella? If you're "concerned" about me, ask me yourself.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-10-23 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
All right then, Senel...where to start...

Well, first, what was the last thing you remember before you wound up here?

I see... I don't believe the truth should be hidden from anyone, however. It always comes out eventually, and the longer it takes, the more painful it is. I learned that the hard way.

If that's the case, then they should learn it from me. And this isn't something they need to know about, either.
