[Written] Suspicious Letter

It seems that everyone has received the same letter, offering us a way home. It sounds too good to be true, to be able to get home so soon and so easily. Additionally, a single gate with the ability to send everyone to their respective worlds? It just doesn't seem logical. The Malnosso are known for their experiments, to gather results, so this gate might be another experiment of theirs...which would also suggest that they don't really know what they're doing.

The mention of "Tyr" strikes me as the most crucial clue. I need more details on who he was and what happened to him. The letter states that we'll be "just like him" in a way that sounds foreboding.

Still, the offer is tempting, so this gate should be worth an investigation.

After all, I could easily watch the others become decoys for me.

Home...

...have you seen the person who supposedly "runs" the clothing shop, Jay? Empty eyes, vacant stare?

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm? Actually, I only saw him once, when I first arrived here.

[identity profile] mikangirl.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Tyr was like him. And then John took him away, and the Malnosso got angry about it. I don't know what happened after that, but Tyr's dead now by all reports.

[Someone's gone back through her journal since Tyr's name kept getting dropped.]

...

I think I'll pass on this offer...

[identity profile] mikangirl.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Might be wise.
perplexme: (spacecase)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-22 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, because logic applies really well here...

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
What's that supposed to mean?
perplexme: (skeptical)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-22 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
...that's not a serious question, right? It means exactly what it sounds like, logic doesn't mean anything here.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Fine, fine. If you all want to throw away your logic and walk through the portal like idiots, that suits me just fine.
perplexme: (nobody)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-22 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Now you're just being ignorant. I don't recall saying I was going to walk through the portal. I've done enough portal-walking in my lifetime.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-22 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm surprised you still cling to your logic after saying that.
perplexme: (uncertain)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-23 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Again, ignorant. I didn't say that, either.

You're kind of strange, aren't you? Assuming stuff and interpreting it differently. I guess it must be another world-difference thing.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I'd say you're the strange one. Isn't believing that logic has no meaning a form of logic in itself?

Unless you mean that your logic has no meaning, which actually makes more sense.
perplexme: (confused)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-23 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
No, not exactly. That's more of a statement than actual logic itself. Besides, I think my logic makes more sense than your logic about my logic, don't you think?

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Your logic makes no sense at all, which is why it doesn't mean anything.
perplexme: (like that makes sense)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-23 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
But now you're moving into opinion versus logic. That's completely different.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Why would you cling to your logic if you believe it has no meaning? Certainly it must mean something.
perplexme: (skeptical)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-23 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Why are you bad at grasping the concept? It doesn't have to mean anything.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-23 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You just don't get it, do you? You're only contradicting yourself. First you tell me that logic doesn't mean anything, and here you are, forcing your logic on me. If logic means nothing, then throw it away.

In any case, I tire of discussing this with you. Logic was never the reason for my original discussion, so you're only wasting my time.
perplexme: (sigh)

[personal profile] perplexme 2009-11-27 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, I'm pretty sure I get it. I've been here a while, you haven't, simple as that, right? I said logic in general, not my logic. Your logic means nothing, my logic means nothing, only their logic means something and when it comes to it, their logic's not logical, so logic means nothing, see?

I'd say something about time not really mattering either, but you're really starting to hurt my head a bit.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2009-11-27 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, you're talking about logic from their point of view, not logic in general.

Now please leave.
