Jay can definitely appreciate Grune's presence here, as difficult as it is to have a conversation with her due to her incredibly short attention span and clueless nature. Perhaps she can be a good listener at times, especially when Jay's feeling down. She's probably the one that Jay would reveal his innermost feelings to.

Jay isn't sure what to think of Fenimore, as she's supposed to be dead, and he'd never spoken to her at all on the Legacy. If it wasn't the fact that she was Shirley's friend, he probably wouldn't bother with her all.

Jay does not like Grell at all. He finds it incredibly insane for one who's obviously a man to believe that he is a woman. But the worst thing is that Grell knows his secrets, thanks to his Death Scythe. So one day he'll pay back the death god for that, albeit in a very subtle way. Or rather, in a way that Grell won't know that it was even Jay's doing.

Jay can definitely appreciate Giles for hating Luceti as much as he does. It's sort of a strange pleasantness to talk to him, in a stress-relieving way. At the very least, they can let off their frustrations. At least those who hate Luceti have some sense, or so Jay thinks.

Jay won't admit it, but he finds Chi quite adorable, just like his little otters back home. Still, he doesn't want to get too attached to her, to the point where his own sanity depends on her safety. He's afraid that people might try to exploit that if that happens.

A mysterious figure that Jay doesn't get to speak with often, but is slowly beginning to trust him as an ally, especially now that they have fought together in a draft. Jay sometimes wishes he could see Vincent more often, but can't see himself seeking him out just yet.

Jay met Viki during the love experiment by falling in love with her. While he's not thrilled about that part, he is glad that he can be friends with her, as she reminds him of Norma in a lot of ways. Now if only she'd just stop sneezing and teleporting away in random moments.

Long story short, Bowser is pretty much the embodiment of everything that Jay hates – stupidity, empty boasting, controlling freak. So when Jay woke up after the experiment to realize that Bowser had been his father for a week, he just...hated it so much. It made him hate Luceti as a whole even more. Now he's rather keep his distance from the Koops king as much as possible.

Yuan is one of the first people Jay has met. Even though they don't speak often, Yuan has the blunt and serious nature that Jay respects, even though the bluntness can annoy him at times.

Jay actually appreciates Gelda's kindness, but won't admit it to her yet. He feels that he'll open up to her one day, but he's not sure when. It wasn't too bad having her as his mother during the experiment, but it would have been a hell of a lot better if he'd had a different father.
