[Action] Hey Shorty, It's Your Birthday!

[Today is Jay's birthday…but he doesn't know it. Yes, he knows that Chibi-Usa randomly chose this date to be his birthday, but he's more or less forgotten about it, and assumes that she's done the same.]

[Today, Jay can be found walking from C3 to the plaza with empty bags in hand. After observing the population for a while, he'll head to the shops to gather food and other supplies. It's not his birthday, he doesn't need presents. It's just another day, really. Or is it?]

[Feel free to catch him anywhere between C3 and the plaza with your presents and birthday wishes.]

[She smiles wickedly.] Oh, I have lots of plans for today! Because you know what today is?

[Silly boy, he completely forgot. But does it really matter? It's just another day.]

And here's your present!

[She holds out the bag she was hiding behind her back. Inside it are two boxes, stacked neatly on top of each other.]

[That's right, she did say she'd get him "something cool" for his birthday, didn't she? Curious, Jay pulls out the first box and opens it. What will he find?]

[The first box isn't too interesting. Makoto said she'd make something to eat for him, and she followed through on that. Picture fruit patries and things like that.]

Mako made that for you. She's a really good cook, so it'll probably taste great!

[He'll set the first box aside for now, and open the second one. What's in there?]

[Ohoh, you'll love this, Jay. It's a paddleball racket. Chibi-Usa did think he needs to have more fun. Now she's watching him expectantly, waiting for his response. What will it be?]

[He'll just study it curiously. And then he'll try it out, hitting the ball repeatedly. At least it'll cure boredom for a few minutes at best.]

Hmm. Not bad at all.

[He thinks about it for a moment.]

[She giggles. To her, this is considered a success.]

[This doesn't quite convince him that birthdays and presents are the "coolest thing ever," though. Jay puts the paddleball racket into his empty bag and pulls out one of the fruit pastries. He begins to nibble on it. Omm nom nom...]

[Oh, he doesn't need to be convinced presents are the best thing ever. Just that they're worthwhile and more than just "things".]

Just to gather some food from the shops. Nothing too interesting.
