[Action] Jay the Cat Watcher...

[There's a black cat wandering around the village, close by Community Building 3. Yes, Jay has finally decided to let it out to play for a while. But he is nearby watching it carefully...not too close to make it obvious that the cat is his. He'll watch carefully if people try to pet or play with it, but if he suspects any kind of cruelty towards it, he'll rush in to the rescue.]

[Vegeta's just going out for a walk for a while, exiting CH3 himself, and starting his walk when he sees Jay, and then spots the cat- he knows it's Jay's, there's no doubt about it.

He walks over to Jay, smirking from ear to ear.]

So you finally let it out huh? What if it starts chasing something, will you be able to catch it?

Of course I'll be able to catch it.

[Jay gives him a suspicious look. Try anything funny, and there'll be hell to pay.]

Calm down! I'm not going to do anything to your infernal cat. [He looks back at it.] Why distance yourself so far? Afraid of telling people you have a cat?

Riiight. [Yeah, he believes you. Not.]

I'm sure a cat needs its personal space like people do.

Hrmf. I think you're giving it a little too much concern. It's just a cat. It will be fine.

Hmm. And what's got you so concerned about me, Vegeta?

[He's actually genuinely curious about this one.]

Then again, you would say something like, "It's just a cat."

[misterbrief]

I'm not. [He turns his mouth up and sets his arms back in the default position, folded across his chest. He watches the cat play a little more, looking to see if there was some kind of small animal it would go after, but he personally doesn't spot any.]

That's because it is "just a cat." I don't see the point in coddling it as if it were a baby. It's not a person, it's a cat. They can take pretty good care of themselves outside of food and water.

[When Kouki notice the cat during his walk, he's naturally inclined to check it out. Demon overlord or not, he will always have a fondness for them.

He slowly walks over, hoping to avoid scaring the cat away.]

[The cat stares at Kouki for a moment, wary at first. It then sits on the ground, still tall, still watching.]

[Jay watches as well, but doesn't give away his presence.]

[He just crouch down, looking at the cat.]

I wonder if you have an owner?

[Considering it's by Community Building 3, it seems pretty likely. He reach out to gently pet it.]

[The cat flinches as Kouki reaches out, but once the hand makes contact, it presses its head and body into it.]

[It actually makes Jay smile a bit. It makes him want to cuddle with the cat himself again.]

[D'aww, how adorable. Kouki have to resist the urge to pick it up and hold it in his arms. But he will stick to petting and maybe scratching behind its ears.]

[It closes its eyes and turns its head, clearly relishing the attention as it begins to purr.]

[Keep this up, and Jay just might get jealous.]

[The cat doesn't seem to mind the attention, but when Jay hears the comment, he rushes over to the man.]

Your cat? Oh, sorry, I just thought it was a stray or something. And I was just petting him, no harm done.

_{[ He straightened, holding his hands up in mock surrender, though really he was more... amused than anything. It was cute, this guy being so concerned over their cat. ]}

Petting him...all right then. But it was really what you said that bothered me.

[Ai was in the middle of a walk through Luceti, one of her first ones after having settled in. She suspected she would often take walks in this part of the village in particular, for it was fairly close to her apartment building just on the other side of the bridge. The teleporter to the hot springs was also nearby.

It was a quiet and pleasant day, and she was actually able to soothe herself with her walk. She didn't think she would after learning just what kind of a predicament she was put in, and realizing that she would probably spend a lot of time here, but this was truly nice. A walk through the city of Kibitou wouldn't normally be as peaceful.

The girl was quick to notice the black cat wandering close to the community building during her walk, the sight of it making her smile. She absolutely loved cats. And this one was the first she saw, and it looked just like Pooh back in her high school, who she used to pet and take care of. She had just started thinking of getting her own before she was brought here, too. Maybe she would still be able to do so here.

She approached the cat slowly, not wanting to scare it off, and soon enough she found herself kneeling down. She proceeded to give the cat a soft smile.]

Hey... I'm Ai.

[There was no way to know if this cat was owned or not yet, so she held out a hand, wanting to see what kind of reaction she would get.]

[The cat was friendly enough unlike its owner. Slowly, it'll move closer to sniff her fingers with her little nose. Jay is watching nearby cautiously. All is well so far, so he won't announce himself yet.]

[And Ai's smile widened at the cat's cute gesture. It even acted like Pooh during her first encounter with him by the school's swimming pool right after the end of her first practice.]

How did you end up here? Were you taken from your world, too?

[She chuckled softly with amusement, and then went on to check to see if there was a collar anywhere to help her determine if somebody owned the cat.]

[Yes, there was a purple collar around its neck. While Jay originally hadn't wanted to reveal that he owned a cat (it made him look soft, after all), he would prefer the kindness of others to return it to him if he lost it. So on the collar is a tag that reads, "IF FOUND, CALL JAY."]

"If found, call Jay"...

[So this wasn't a stray cat, after all. She didn't know if that would be even possible in Luceti.

Could it really be lost, though? It didn't seem like anyone else was around... She wouldn't be able to tell who Jay was anyway, but what she could tell was that the cat was pretty much alone here.

With the smile still on her face, Ai gently reached out with her hand in order to pet it.]

So Jay is your owner, then...

[Her voice was calm and affectionate, and she couldn't help it when she was around cats, especially friendly ones like this one.]

[The cat relishes the attention, and turns its head with its ear facing her. If she pauses, the cat will let out a soft mew in protest.]
