[Action] Jay the Blinded

[If one happens to glance at the fountain at the right time, they may catch sight of Jay appearing in the air out of nowhere. If that doesn't get their attention, he'll make quite a bit of noise as he lands right in the fountain with a loud splash, spraying water everywhere.]

[Jay pulls his face out of the water, spitting it from his mouth. He stands up slowly and shakily and looks around, only to see...nothing. He can't see a thing. He can't feel anything either, except for the water waving at his ankles, and dripping from the rest of his body. He hears incoherent voices all around him. That's all he has to go by, as he notices that even his ninja senses are missing. He can't feel anything around him. At least with the public voices and the water, Jay is able to conclude that he's in the village plaza, in the fountain.]

[All right...he's got to get out of this fountain. He waves his hands out in front of him, trying to feel for anything that might be in his way. Unfortunately, as he reaches the edge, he trips over it, falling face first on the concrete. How embarrassing...]

[Jay stands up once again and begins to walk with small, awkward steps, still reaching out in front of him. Unfortunately, he has no idea where he's going, as he keeps bumping into everything and everyone that happens to be in his way.]

[OOC: So Jay is blind, and he's lost his ninja senses. So he's going to need help, whether he wants it or not. Feel free to have him bump into you, or accidentally lay his hands on you as he's trying to feel his way around. Or feel free to troll him if you feel so inclined. XD]

[AHH! Someone fell over! Kitty quickly rushes to his side.]

Hey. Are you alright? You didn't hurt yourself, did you?

Hmm?

[He hears the voice, and it's really close. But where the person is, he just can't tell. He perks his head up, looking around, his eyes vacant.]

I'm...fine.

[He stands up carefully and continues to walk forward with small, awkward steps, moving his arms in front of him. Almost like a zombie.]

[OH! She saw those eyes and placed a friendly hand on his shoulder.]

You don't look it. Are... are you able to see me?

[It's a whole lot different when you don't even sense the hand coming until it actually touches. So Jay jumps with a start as he suddenly feels the hand on his shoulder. That jump causes him to lose his balance, stumbling right into the nearby lamppost. As much as he wants to play off his condition, he finds it impossible to do so.]

Gah...don't startle me like that.

[She quickly pulls away.]

I'm sorry!

I'm Kitty. [Hoping that an introduction will help him relax.] Let me help you.

Um...

[He pulls away from the lamppost, wondering which way to go.]

...How do you plan to help me?

Where are you trying to get to? I'll help you get there.

Hmm...

[As much as he wants to get back to his place, he's still not keen on revealing its location. Plus, as much as he hates it, he realizes that he won't be able to do anything alone in this condition.]

How about...the Welcome Center?

You got it. [She reaches for his hand to guide him.] I'll get you there in no time.

All right...

[He anticipates that he'll have to be taken by the hand, so his hands are reaching out in all directions.]

Um...where are you?

[She takes his other hand as well.]

I'm right in front of you. I promise I won't leave your side, alright? [She was really concerned now.]

All right...

[And he'll just let her lead him. As long as he doesn't bump into anyone or anything, he'll be fine...]

[Actually, she'll just use her power to phase through things to help him out some.]

I'm Kitty, by the way.

[[Oh what unusual timing... Viki was just sneezing herself in proximity to the fountain! Like... some kind of karmic timing! Granted, she nearly falls in herself, but catches her balance as she hears someone else diving in.]]

Oh no! Someone fell--

Jay!

[Who's that calling his name? It doesn't sound like any of his comrades...but the voice does sound familiar.]

Who...who's there?

[[Viki carefully struts around the rim of the fountain.]]

It's me, Viki! Did you forget me already, Jay?

[Ah, Viki, someone he knows. It's just been a while.]

Ah...n-no...it's just been so long, I didn't recognize your voice.

[He'll slowly be wandering in a random direction, arms hovering outward.]

What happened Jay? Why are you walking around like that? [[She's never seen someone spontaneously blind before! She's seen the blind but... they were mystics and stuff!]]

What...? What's wrong with the way I'm walking...?

[Totally playing it off.]

I'm just-- [crashing into a lamppost] --fine...

That... doesn't look very normal at all. I've never seen you walk with your hands in front of you like that...

You haven't?

[He stumbles back from the lamppost a few steps and then turns around. Now he's walking straight towards Viki in the same manner. Closer and closer he comes...]

[[He's going to stop, right?]]

No... I haven't... The last time I saw someone walk like that was..

[[Oh... please stop walking Jay...]]

When they couldn't see because of a bucket on their head.

[[UWAAA JAY! STOP TALKING! Before Viki puts her staff and it bonks you on the head. **Bonk** Like that!]]

[The remark about the bucket makes him stop. A bucket? Really?]

...Really? I could use a bucket right about now...

[Because that's just the kind of mood he's in.]

[[You've now diverted her from your blindness at least!]]

What do you need a bucket for?

To put over my head. Or a paper bag will do just as well.

But then you won't be able to see at all...

Uhm... Jay... are your eyes okay? [[Oh... it clicks!]]

My eyes?

[He ponders. Should he just be honest, or continue to play it off and make a fool of himself? Well, since he hates looking/feeling stupid, he might as well be honest.]

I'm already blind. I can't see a thing...

[[Panic mode: switch on!]]

You're blind! Oh no! That's terrible! What happened! [[You are getting hugged. This is a terrible thing (the blindness, not the hug)]]

[Without his ninja senses, the hug sets off Jay's panic switch, too, as he immediately squirms when he's grabbed.]

I was...taken by the Malnosso...

Oh no! That's no fair at all!

They took you and made you blind! Isn't there something we can do?

...Not really. Aside from waiting for the effect to wear off.

I'll need to get somewhere...I can't do anything if I can't find anything...

[How's he going to find his bed? Where's the food? Where's the bathroom/shower? Damn those Malnosso...]</small

I can take you! You know I can teleport anywhere! [[Still... urge to hug so... there!]]

...You can teleport at will? Or only when you accidentally sneeze?

I can always teleport! It just... happens on accident when I sneeze!

I don't know where you live, but... if I can get close, and I see it, I can always teleport there after that! [[Meaning you're a more likely candidate for when she sneezes!]]

...I don't think it's a good idea to go home...

[He won't have anyone to help him there...]
