Perhaps some of you may know what sort of possible effects we'd suffer as a result of this shifting incompatibility. Has this ever happened before?

Complacent? Oh, no, I wouldn't call it that. I'm happy. It's true that this place has many hardships and needs improvement, but there's no such thing as a perfect life. Looking at the things I have now, the friends I've made... I feel truly blessed.

Of course not. Nothing stays the same forever. Times change and a person must change accordingly, lest they'll be too focused on the past to enjoy the present. You will return to your home when the time comes, but in the meanwhile, there are other things that deserve your attention.
