[Accidental Voice/Action] Just not the same...
[He's got his bell. He's got the Oresoren doll. And now he's got an Oresoren rug, courtesy of Catherine Claus. Jay's apartment is looking closer to home. But a simple doll just doesn't replace the real Oresoren, the most important thing he's missing. Of course, the journal works in mysterious ways, and can start recording at the most "inconvenient" times.]
…What do you do when you miss someone?
[Later that day, Jay can be found by the lake, watching the ducks and occasionally throwing bread crumbs out to them.]
…What do you do when you miss someone?
[Later that day, Jay can be found by the lake, watching the ducks and occasionally throwing bread crumbs out to them.]
[Voice]
[And he sounds bitter about that fact himself.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[He remembers when you made the two-year anniversary announcement, which feels like an eternity ago.]
[Voice]
[Yuan doesn't really remember Jay overhearing the 'announcement' last year, but the kid did claim to be an information gatherer. Wherever he picked up on the snippet of information, he must've deemed it important enough to actually take note of.]
[Voice]
[Jay remembers that he even responded to Yuan's announcement. It was important enough to let him know to steel himself for a long stay in Luceti.]
[Voice]
[Albert, for one. Sheena... Kratos reached three years before he was sent home. Raine must be nearing three years as well. There was that Stella girl, but she may have been sent home before the three year mark. Yuan has no clue when she arrived, he just knows she gave birth to a kid a few months after he first came to Luceti. If Usagi were still around, she'd have reached her three year mark soon as well. That's about all the people coming to mind, but he can't claim to know all of the population.]
[Voice]
[He trails off, knowing the majority who are sent home before even the first year. If only he could be so lucky...]
[Voice]
[Voice]
...Is it possible to die from old age here? And would they come back?
[Random, but hopefully a good distraction subject.]
[Voice]
I'm sure that you can, yes. It'd be a neverending cycle.
[Voice]
It seems pointless to come back from an old age death, only to die from it immediately again.
[Voice]
[He can't remember where he heard this for the life of him. It was probably Jacob or John, but it's a fact he made sure to remember nonetheless.]
[Voice]
I'd rather die than live in this place.
[Pointless, but still had to be said.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Fine, fine. But you of all people should have known better anyway.
[Voice]
[Voice]
[He sure suggested it lightly enough.]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Even then, it might not be the way out.
[Voice]
[Voice]
Well, of course.
[Voice]
... Either way, if you're starting to get homesick, you'd best find something to keep yourself busy, or it's going to be a long stay.
[Voice]
[Reality check is complete.]
