[Voice] No more costumes

When I compare the Halloween ball to the one last year, this one was far worse.

Giles, are you still in favor of the costume bonfire that we discussed?

[While he's addressing Giles, he leaves it unfiltered, because he wouldn't mind other people joining in. After all, the more costumes they burn, the bigger the fire will be.]

Very much so. [Oh so very much] More now even than I was when we discussed this.

And I've spoken with several others who wouldn't mind adding joining in.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Very well. Do you have a time and place in mind? It makes no difference to me.

We should probably set it up down by the lake. And early in the morning - the fire will need time to get hot before some of these will burn.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 03:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent. Have you decided on a date? We'll need at least a day or two to extend the invitations so people can prepare accordingly.

This Sunday, perhaps? Give everyone a chance to get back on their feet.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That should suffice. I'll begin spreading the word.

And I will continue spreading the word.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[That actually makes him chuckle.]

Starting a little early, aren't you?

I thought the prospect of a nice bonfire would cheer everyone up. Certainly kept me going this week.

[identity profile] idkmybffroy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
A costume bonfire, you say? [ Oh god he is so pinged. ]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. Giles and I have been discussing it, and we've decided to have it on Sunday morning by the lake. So bring that costume you were stuck with and burn it.

[identity profile] idkmybffroy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Excellent! I think that you'll have a pretty large gathering by the time Sunday comes around.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's already giddy at the thought.]

I would certainly hope so.

[identity profile] idkmybffroy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
And what type of costume are you going to be burning this weekend?

What happened last year?

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, nothing, if you compare it to this year. We just had a carnival and a Halloween ball. No illusions, no mysterious dead animals, no living costumes... There was the Hunter outside the ball, but again, that's nothing compared to what we've experienced in the last week.
ayu_nee: (........)

[voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Well, what did this "Hunter" do last year?

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It attacked anyone outside the ball, attempting to tear off their wings.
ayu_nee: (what is this i don't even)

[voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, my! That sounds very unpleasant.

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. And you're aware that losing both wings will result in an instant death, I assume.
ayu_nee: (she looks like the real thing)

[voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
So I've been told, though naturally I haven't experienced it myself. Losing a feather is bad enough.

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it is...

[Oh, these blasted wings...]
ayu_nee: (i dreamed a dream)

[voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I must confess I'm not familiar with this "Halloween" holiday, though. Are there more of these holidays coming up that I should be wary of?

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. There's a holiday in December known as "Christmas." It's nothing like Halloween, though. It's rather pleasant in comparison, actually, although I don't care for it personally. Apparently, it's a holiday where people exchange gifts to each other.
ayu_nee: (the coolness of your smile)

[voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems difficult to imagine something that would be unpleasant in comparison, after the last week. I'm glad this one seems... happier, though.

Do you not like exchanging gifts?

[voice]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-11-02 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I just don't see the need for these gifts.

[Even though the ones he got for his "birthday" were nice, and he'd be ready to zap anyone who dares to touch his Oresoren doll.]
ayu_nee: (there's no time for misery)

Re: [voice]

[personal profile] ayu_nee 2010-11-02 05:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, well. Not everyone likes the same things, I suppose.
