unseenspy: (WTF Jay)
Jay ([personal profile] unseenspy) wrote2010-10-24 01:53 pm

[Voice/Action] Go away, kitty, kitty!

[Jay's voice sounds rather muffled, but still coherent.]

I hope the Malnosso manage to accomplish something from this.

[Yes, it's Jay's purple kitty costume that muffles his voice. Each time he tries to remove the head, it just reappears over his own. So, Luceti, don't be too freaked out if you see a large purple kitty head flying out the second-story window of Community Building 3.]

[Alternatively, people may notice him coming out of the building, pulling off the kitty head and throwing it as hard as he could.]

[Giles...actually does see this, as the kitty head bounces right past him. He follows its trajectory over to Jay, and winces in sympathy.]

Well, now I know things can always be worse. Thank you for that.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[And the kitty head appears right back on the body. At Giles' comment, Jay pulls the head up only halfway to expose his face, and to take a good look at Giles and his costume.]

What is that supposed to mean?

And what are you supposed to be?

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
[Giles sighs] There's an actor in my world who used to dress like this. His most famous role was a vampire. Very tacky, really.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
An actor, hmm? Well, like you said, it could be worse.

[Slips the kitty head back on again. Looking on the bright side, hopefully no one else would recognize him in this. And the kitty head is slightly more attractive than a brown paper sack, which Jay really feels like wearing over his head right now...]
consultmybooks: (Blase)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yes, Jay, it could be worse. Giles could have gotten stuck dressed like you]

Any particular reason you're a cat, just out of curiosity?

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[Lifts the kitty hood over his face again so Giles can see his "you can't seriously be asking that question" face.]

No particular reason. Perhaps the same reason you're dressed like that?
consultmybooks: (Consult my Books)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I suspect I'm dressed like this because I'm rather older than most of my friends, and vampires are...something of a fascination, of mine.

Again, tacky. But understandable.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that so? Very well then.

[Drops the hood back on his head again, pondering. Why is he dressed like a cat? He's more into otters, so why isn't he dressed like an otter? (Not that it would be any less humiliating if he were...)]
consultmybooks: (Consult my Books)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
But perhaps it's just as funny to them to dress you up as something ridiculous.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose it's funny to you, too, is it not?

[He brings his tail in front of him. Oh look, it has bells on it. Jay likes his bells. But he tosses the tail back to his rear, not wanting to give away that little fascination.]

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Not in the slightest. [Okay, maybe a bit, but it's hard to tell] If you think it's a nice costume, then you're better off than most of the village.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sigh]

Oh well, I suppose I can take comfort knowing that everyone else is too humiliated by their own costumes to pay attention to mine.

[At least, that's what he would hope.]
consultmybooks: (Hold On)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
That might be a safe choice, actually. [Giles holds up his journal] I haven't seen half the people I've spoken with since this whole thing started. Several people aren't letting themselves within two feet of their journals while they're open, thanks to the cameras.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
My...

[That actually sounds amusing to him.]

I might as well take a look around then. The village itself is looking rather strange as well.

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[He nods] I have to admire how quickly they got the pumpkins put up. And the weather is a nice touch. Very seasonal.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. It's certainly different from this time last year.
consultmybooks: (Giles is Amused)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Still. At least no one is getting dragged off to dance. [Bright side, yes?]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Not yet, anyway.

[That could very well change in the next few days.]
consultmybooks: (Neither amused nor impressed)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
We'll see once it actually gets to Halloween.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. Keep your eyes open for monsters.
consultmybooks: (Talk to Me)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I certainly will.

Not saying I probably won't want to stab something by the time the week is over, but I'll be careful. You as well.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
There are some things certainly worth stabbing if it comes to that.

[Or some people.]
consultmybooks: (Default)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-24 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Especially depending on the sorts of costumes we have to deal with.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 08:35 am (UTC)(link)
Stabbing the costumes? That might be a good idea, if we ever get these off.
consultmybooks: (Laughing in the Face of the Apocalypse)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-26 11:07 am (UTC)(link)
Or burning them, after we do get them off.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm looking forward to it.
consultmybooks: (Giles is Amused)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-26 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
We could make a party of it. I'm sure most of the village would be happy to join in by this point.
consultmybooks: (Get Out)

[personal profile] consultmybooks 2010-10-26 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I just hope there aren't any other holidays approaching that would require dressing up.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
There haven't been in the past year that I've been here, so I doubt we'll have to worry about that.

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-25 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Ami's dressed as a catgirl maid (http://kdtu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/runa21.html). No, really. Fortunately, despite the fetishistic theme, it covers her decently and is fairly modest. And aren't those makeup whiskers cute?]

You were also a cat?

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 08:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Lifts the hood to look at his journal.]

If you can call this unsightly suit a cat, then yes.

Re: [Video]

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's cute... just a little bit... maybe.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[He just...sighs at that. He obviously disagrees.]

Re: [Video]

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not as bad as it could be. They may be planning something else, too.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That's always the good part.

[He stresses the word "good" to indicate that he's being sarcastic.]

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
It makes no difference whether we're worried about it. Something's going to happen, whether we like it or not.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Can we really? Just knowing that something is going to happen doesn't necessary mean we're prepared for it. No one knows what sort of behavioral changes we'll see or experience.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think anyone can ignore it. We'll just deal with it as it comes.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm open to suggestions, then, as to how we can be prepared for something we know nothing about, that defies reality.

Or if you know how we could have been "prepared" to be stuck in these costumes for who knows how long, I'd be glad to hear that, too.

Re: [Video]

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I see. You're mocking me.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
You said we can prepare for what's about to happen. I'm asking you how. If you don't know how, you're welcome to admit that.

Re: [Video]

[identity profile] no-use-running.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
If it's troubling you, why not find a magician who can create an illusion to cover it? But right now, for me it's more important to think about other things. I should go.

[identity profile] unseenspy.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be a wise idea. You accuse me of mocking you, but it's obvious that you're the one mocking me. How hypocritical.

So feel free to go, get prepared for something that, for all we know, may not happen at all.

[He pulls his kitty mask back down and closes the journal.]
