In my world, when a sinful human dies, their soul is placed in a body like this and they serve in the Netherworld or Celestia until their sins are repaid.

When my sins are repaid, the Red Moon will appear. I'll climb to the highest mountain and Death will take my soul. Normally, Prinnies are reborn as humans to get another chance at life, but I might be a special case. When I died, the demon Overlord Laharl requested that my soul be taken to heaven to be reunited with my family. I became a Prinny anyway, but perhaps Death still intends to fulfill Laharl's request.
