[Accidental Video] Jay the Birthday Boy

[As always, Jay has his journal open, listening for something...interesting to spy on. But he's a bit distracted right now, looking at his calendar, and a particular Oresoren figurine that Moses had carved for him last year. In his distraction, he doesn't even realize that his journal is currently recording.]

July 10th...that was my birthday. But...is it really?

[Chibi-Usa had chosen that date for his birthday, but he hasn't heard from her in so long, he's almost certain that she's gone home by now.]

No...it can't be. I don't even have a birthday. No one else knows about it anyway, and there's no reason to celebrate it. It's just another day. Oh well...

[...But why does he feel like this? Jay reaches over to pick up the Oresoren figurine and hold it tenderly in his lap. Perhaps there's a part of him inside that really does want to celebrate a birthday just like all the other cool kids.]

[Oh, well isn't this a juicy little bite of info Norma seemed to have stumbled upon. She grins wide and jots a note down in her separate notebook about the date being Jay's birthday, and to throw him a large and crazy party. She'll invite her own friends, and Grune can do the same!

Feigning ignorance, Norma voices up at last, leaning her head on one hand.] What's just another day? Something special? Something I should know about, huh, JJ? A diiirty little secret~?

Have you even been out of your room at all? Come with me to the beach! We can go swimming and play with a big fat bouncy ball and stuff!

Oh, is it your birthday tomorrow? Happy birthday in advanced! [ Ryoji smiles brightly at this, clearly excited by the idea of someone's birthday. As someone else who ... doesn't exactly have a birthday, he definitely thinks they're really cool. ]

There's always a reason to celebrate birthdays - being born, no matter how it happens, is something really special. There's something really beautiful about the creation of life, so even if maybe July 10th isn't necessarily your real birthday, it's still definitely worth celebrating just because of that!

Also, [ he adds conspiratorially ] it's a great excuse to have cake or cookies or something sweet. [ He winks at that. ]
